“Leukemia Doesn’t Discriminate”

Since 1991, The Rhulen Rock Hill Run & Ramble has been one of the Hudson Valley’s leading 5K Run/Walks that raises community awareness of the fight against blood related cancers.  The R4 event is held in honor of one of Sullivan County’s leading citizens, Walter Rhulen, an avid runner who died of Leukemia in 1998.

Giving to Local Individuals Battling Blood Cancers

In 2012 The R4 raised over $50,000 and donated $10,000 to the R4 Patient Fund; $2,500 to Catskill Regional Medical Center; $1,500 to DKMS, a National Bone Marrow Bank; $2,000 to the United Way, the fiscal agent of the R4; and the balance to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
