Tickets selling fast for “Dark House”!
Faulkner’s “Absalom, Absalom!” takes stage at Capital Fringe on July 12
William Faulkner’s Absalom, Absalom! will see it’s first-ever stage adaptation at the 2013 Capital Fringe Festival in Washington, D.C., I’ll be performing in it, and I’d love to see you there!
In Tarpley Long’s Dark House, directed by Tracy McMullan, Faulkner’s ruthless Colonel Sutpen is re-imagined as a D.C. land-developer in the 1960s. Classicism, racism, sexism, miscegenation, incest, murder, suicide, and the twists and turns of love imperil a family living in a Logan Circle mansion.
The play will run for select performances through July 27. Demand for the festival is high, and space is limited, so I strongly encourage you to purchase tickets in advance at https://www.capitalfringe.org/festival-2013/shows/215-dark-house.
As always, thank you so much for your support–it means the world to me. I hope to see you at the show!
