More than six months after Sandy devastated our area, many communities in Westchester County are continuing to rebuild and recover. Since Sandy, I have worked closely with Governor Cuomo and a bipartisan group of my colleagues in Congress to ensure that our region continues to receive the assistance it needs. I am pleased to announce that on Wednesday, May 29 th and Thursday, May 30 th , two trained Sandy Help Teams will be deployed to Westchester County at the following locations to help homeowners and business owners affected by Superstorm Sandy apply for recovery aid:
Village Hall 85 Main Street Irvington, NY 10533 11:00 AM — 7:00 PM
Municipal Building 16 Croton Avenue Ossining, NY 10562 11:00 AM — 7:00 PM
Eligible uses of the recovery aid include, but are not limited to, home repairs, elevations, and buyouts; mitigation assistance, and small business assistance.
After filing an initial application, a meeting with a disaster recovery representative will be scheduled, at which additional documentation will be required.
