COTTAGES & GARDENS PUBLICATIONS NAMES NEW GROUP PUBLISHER

 

Norwalk, CT (March 14, 2013)-Marianne Howatson, CEO & Publication Director of Cottages & Gardens Publications, announced today that she has appointed Jennifer Matthews as Group Publisher.

A former founding publisher of CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages & Gardens)in 2005, Matthews returns to the company as Group Publisher overseeing the advertising efforts of all titles. “We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer back to the company,” said Howatson. “Jennifer truly knows the brand. She will be able to apply her extensive experience of local and national business and her tremendous knowledge of the home-furnishings industry to take Cottages & Gardens to the next level.”

 

“The New York metropolitan area is the largest, most vibrant and influential design market in the nation,” said Matthews, “and I am especially pleased to have the opportunity to work again with celebrated editorial talent D.J. Carey, Cottages & Gardens Editorial Director, who has been editor of CTC&G (Connecticut Cottages & Gardens) since its inception, and Kendell Cronstrom, Editor in Chief of NYC&G (New York Cottages & Gardens) and HC&G (Hamptons Cottages & Gardens).” Cronstrom and Matthews worked at Elle Décor magazine during the same time.

Matthews was most recently VP Group Publisher of Luxe Interiors + Design, where she oversaw 14 editions, grew national advertising and launched the title in several new markets, including China. Prior to that, she was Publisher of Western Interiors + Design.
