At Roma Deli II in Wappingers with proprietor Rob Golia, my classmate from Van Wyck Junior High.
We have kicked our campaign into an extra gear for November’s general election and we are working harder than ever. Right now our priorities are to unify the Republican party and reach out to independent voters.
We know from the thousands of voters we have spoken with in the past few months that our message of limited government, economic opportunity and fundamental reform of Albany has broad appeal with Republicans, independents and even many reform-minded Democrats.
In addition to our relentless door to door efforts and attendance at as many community events as I could find, I spent the week meeting with business owners in the area. These meetings were eye opening. Whether a deli owner, barber or builder, every businessperson I spoke with cited the adversarial attitude of the local, state or federal government toward business.
There is no reason why government has to be at odds with the job creators who make our economy go. One my highest priorities in Albany will be to remind government agencies and elected officials that they work for us, we don’t work for them. You can count on me to support and advance pro-business policies and to use every resource possible to support and defend our businesses, industries and workers from the high taxes and overregulation that have driven 1.6 million people out of our state in the last decade.
Finally, if you want to volunteer give my trusty campaign manager Mary Covucci a call on her cell phone at (914) 475-2627 and we’ll put you to work getting our message of job creation, tax relief and reform out to voters.
Onward to Victory,
PS: Special thanks to the Fishkill and East Fishkill Republican Committees for stepping up to support the campaign in a big way! THANK YOU!
